Gogol Bordello to Tour With Man Man
How much facial hair can one venue take?
Seriously, guys? Venues have a hard enough time keeping costs down. With the recession and kids getting used to getting things for free via the internet and cigarette prices going up (because all venue owners must have their daily ration), times are tough.
So who approved Gogol Bordello going on tour with Man Man? A sado-masochist, that's who...

Headlights to Hit the Road Tonight
Month-long tour sure to please.
Everyone's favorite South of I-80 Illinois Indie sweethearts, The Headlights, are embarking on a monthlong tour tonight. The sweet melodies of the Erin Fein-led quartet (sometimes a quintet?) will be all over the place in the next 30 days and will probably be playing a lot of new music, as they've neared completion of their 3rd studio album, set to release in the fall.

Bob Dylan Offers New Song for 24 Hours
You'd think at his age, 68, Bobby D would fall out of touch with what all the kids are doing. Well, the original Village Troubador hasn't, or at least his publicist hasn't. A new track from the forthcoming Together Through This is available today only at Bob Dylan's official website.
The track, "Beyond Here Lies Nothin'" got the same traditional chord structuring, but is a lot more uptempo than 2006's Modern Times with an accordion and electric guitar part that shove it into an almost creole-jazz vibe. Dylan's voice sounds appropriately, and wonderfully, like he's been smoking two packs a day and is giving Tom Waits a run for his money. The lyrics, of course, are spot-on, with a beautiful depiction of two people connecting despite what sounds like the apocalypse. So go download it now. 24 hours only, people. Then tell us what you think!
