Wavves Announce Tour Dates
Wavves hits the road for a fall tour- gives us 'So Bored.'
Wavves have become quite the media darlings over the past few months with infectious surf rock sprinkled a top noise rock. Their Wikipedia page tells me that this genre is called “Shitgaze.” Now that is one branch of music I must’ve missed out on. Check out the tour dates below and sample the cool tunes of Wavves...

We’ve Got You Covered: Shout Out Louds orbit ‘Man on the Moon’
Shout Out Louds take an R.E.M classic and revamp the ever so fantastic ‘Man on the Moon.'
I like conspiracy theories. I don’t go bonkers over them; but I’m always up for someone crazy trying to convince me of something even crazier. “Man on the Moon” by R.E.M. touches on two conspiracy theories – that the United States faked the moon landing and that Andy Kaufman faked his own death (I believe neither of these). I also buy into another theory, but this one isn’t really a conspiracy – it’s the theory that some songs shouldn’t be touched. I’m looking at you, Shout Out Louds.
Maybe I’ve just never been a fan of the Shout Out Louds. I liked the song “The Comeback” (and maybe three of the 1,400 remixes that exist), but that is where I drew the Shout Out Louds’ liking line. It’s not that their version of “Man on the Moon” is bad, because it’s really not – it’s just not very good. And a not very good cover of a timeless and almost too good song really shouldn’t exist.
But don’t let me tell you what to feel – take a listen to “Man on the Moon” by the Shout Out Louds.

You're Only As Good As Your Latest Song
Another Day On Earth writes and records a new song every day – and HEAVE gets a weekly update on this adventerous project.
Hey! Since January, because a girl broke up with me, I've been writing and recording a song each and every day. This has forced me to write some real jammers, and also to develop a strange rash from sitting on this fucking chair all day. Anyways, I post the tunes on a "blog," http://anotherdayonearth.net. I'm using this space to review the week's songs...

In Remembrance: Ari Ari
Ari Ari was short lived, but we won’t forget their energetic, downright ridiculous live shows.
In Rememberance is a weekly article where Andrew Scott looks at bands who may, or may not have, broke up well before their time.
Ari Ari – ever heard of them? Don’t feel bad, not many have, but that doesn’t mean that they shouldn’t be part of your musical repertoire. The Indianapolis four-piece were by no means a big act, but in their short, active period they were one of the most chaotic, driven bands in the Midwest...
