Indie super-group makes good on their band's name.

The Sufjan Stevens Debate

Will Sufjan ever release any more 'state-themed' albums, per his claim to write one for all 50 states? Do you ever want him to finish?

Mark Steffen - If there's one thing I heard a lot of while attending college in the heartland of Illinois a few years back, it was plenty of Illinoise.  It seemed like I couldn't walk from one end of the quad to the other without hearing every bespectacled co-ed ranting about how "magical" that "Suff-Jan Stevens" is...

New Music From Andrew Jackson Jihad

Andrew Jackson Jihad to release 'Can’t Maintain' in September.

Phoenix based folk-pop band Andrew Jackson Jihad announces the release of their latest album Can’t Maintain, which will be available for order from Asian Man Records in September, or picked up from the band themselves on their current tour.

The band, which formed in 2004 in their native Arizona, have been creating a stir due to their quirky lyrics, bare bones sound, and DIY approach to nearly everything they do.  Their 2007 album People That Can Eat People Are The Luckiest People In The World gained recognition as a contending DIY act. With a sound similar to old Against Me! And Harley Poe the music is fun and engaging, despite mocking and cynical lyrical themes.  Andrew Jackson Jihad is currently on tour across the states with Bomb The Music Industry! and Kevin Seconds.

New Music From Delorean

Delorean delivers some infectious Summer pop.

HEAVE loves to shake its hips and clap its hands as much as anyone, so high time that HEAVE present a mid-summer dance hit so fine the whole nation can feel its vibration.  The four young men that make up Barcelona, Spain's Delorean have produced such a groove.

"Deli," taken from the Ayrton Senna E.P. is as slick as the stainless steel exterior Doc Brown fancied so much.  After humble beginnings in the business of remixing (The Big Pink, Mystery Jets, The Teenagers),

Delorean came into their current sound with 2006's Into The Plateau.  The Ayrton Senna E.P. showcases a band embracing the tribal funk of !!! as well as the cool mechanized pop of the superb Friendly Fires.  Looking for the beat for your perfect party? See Delorean.

The Aryton Senna E.P. is available now on Fool House Records.
