Lost Kanye West Songs Found!

New Yeezy mixtape compiled and ready for consumption.

In the midst of all the South Park Kanye West drama comes a newly compiled mixtape from hip hop update. The tape is entitled “The Lost Songs 2,” and the discovery can clearly be the work of Dr. Jones. Dropping on the interwebs sometime last week, the mixtape features a slew of songs either produced by or featuring Kanye West. With artist like Talib Kweli, Freeway, John Legend, Slim Thug and a long list of others - this mixtape provides a well-worth-it listen. There is no way someone from Chicago could pass up this little gem.

Overall, the tape has a more soul filled sound with clips from The Matrix and Samuel L. Jackson mixed into the tracks. Tight. It’s 22 songs deep, with six of them featuring Yeezy vocals. The first track entitled “Welcome to Chicago” provides a warm welcome to the mixtape straight from the Windy City. Most all of these songs will probably be unfamiliar, which makes it all the more welcomed - especially exquisite songs include “I’ma Get You” and  “Downtown.”

Give the opening song a listen while downloading the mixtape. It is something any fan of Yeezy should not go without.

Kanye Responds to South Park

Just stop. And maybe go back to only producing?

Dear Kanye,

Just stop.  It will be so much easier if you just stop responding.  Leave the Hyde Park Hype to the prez and keep on putting out your Nike Air Yeezy's without replying to the press.  We are assholes.  We will always make fun of you.  That's the sign that you're doing something right.

Now hush.  Go get your degree professionalism.  Quit acting like a college dropout.

(This in response to Kanye's blog rant which was in response to last night's South Park)

The 2009 Mixtape

Good music thus far, eh?

The year 2009 is officially a fourth of the way over. If you’re still writing down the date as 2008 or haven’t started your 2009 resolutions, you’ve officially failed. But the good news is you’ve gotten a lot of great music in that short span of time to comfort you. And it’s looking like year-end lists are going to be amazingly better this December. This week is a traditional mixtape of good new music, all since the start of 2009...
