You're Only As Good As Your Latest Song

Another Day On Earth writes and records a new song every day – and HEAVE gets a weekly update on this adventerous project.

Hey. Since January, because of a case of "space madness," I've been writing and recording a song each and every day. This has allowed me to see the world as it really is, as a series of beautifully connected notes. It's also allowed to wear a sizable groove into my bedroom chair. Anyways, I post the tunes on a "blog," http://anotherdayonearth.net. I'm using this space to review the week's songs...

In Remembrance: Brazil

Brazil may never have been fully understood, but since they left us so soon, who’s really to blame?

Being from Indiana, I’ve started to see a trend of us Hoosiers catching a lot of flak for being uneducated, uncultured, etc.   While all this is discouraging to me, it’s quite understandable; I mean are we at the forefront of fashion or entertainment?  No.  Do we have any spectacular music scenes?  Baring a few college towns, no...

New Music From James

The James revival keeps on ticking with 'Not So Strong.'

Contrary to popular belief, many of the bands you enjoyed (say when you were age 12) are still going strong or have reunited.  Speaking now of the Britpop movement, most of these groups squirt out a new album for the few fans they have left, usually filled with half hearted attempts at their glory days.  They then play the festival circuit to benefit great monetary award.  And usually, the new material is a let down and serves as negative fodder for the critics to write about.

The band James did the so-called reunion just last year with the surprisingly stunning album Hey Ma.  Not that you would know, nothing that is foreign or good is ever released here on time.  Still, you remember them right? "Ah, you think you're so pretty-yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!" "Laid," their biggest hit stateside, served as a genius folk-pop revival tune as well as a call to arms for keg stand friendly fraternities across the land.

"Not So Strong" is the latest smash single and live fan favorite, which is available for free via the bands website.

You're Only As Good As Your Latest Song

Another Day On Earth writes and records a new song every day – and HEAVE gets a weekly update on this adventerous project.

Hello there. Since January, because of a girl or something, I've been writing and recording a song each and every day. This has allowed me to get to know my therapist better, and to realize he owns a Sigmund Freud action figure. Anyways, I post the tunes on a "blog," http://anotherdayonearth.net. I'm using this space to review the week's songs...
