New Music From Felt; Album This Fall
Felt (Murs and Slug) gets back together for a fall release and Aesop Rock as a producer.
With knowledge of another Felt album coming “eventually” being common knowledge for fans, these past few weeks have pointed us to an autumn release. Not too long ago the duo played a show in Denver, Colorado and announced the Felt 3 producer. Who did they bring out on stage? None other than Aesop Rock! Additionally, Murs and Slug informed the crowd of a little gift they put on the web for consumption.
The track decided to be leaked seems to be the lead track for the album, the tells being the introductions and talk of being back at it. Entitled “Protagonist,” you can snatch the goody up right here to get a little taste before the album comes out. Not too shabby for a first track, but our ears are hungry for more, especially since Aesop is producing. Aesop will most likely guest on a few of the tracks, something that sounds potentially delicious. All we can do is wait for more.
Almost forgot, who is the album a tribute to this time? Well, first we had Christina Ricci, then Lisa Bonet, now we have…well, you might remember her from White Men Can’t Jump, Rosie Perez. So we have fall as a release date, Aesop Rock producing and a free single. We can’t wait for the leaves to change colors so we can cop this album.
