New Music From Sea Wolf
Sea Wolf delivers 'Wicked Blood' off of 'White White Water, White Bloom.'
HEAVEmedia alum and all around swell fellows Sea Wolf have returned with White Water, White Bloom - a most pleasing follow-up to their most pleasing debut Leaves In The River. Please don't take that as a slight. It's very difficult to be pleasing and super cool at the same time.
Singer/Songwriter Alex Church is a sucker for the seasons. His observations on the changing colors of the trees, or the dew on the grass in the early morning hour could sometimes read like a Michigan travelogue. Aside from his seemingly hidden desire to be a host on the Travel Channel, Church can write one hell of a song.
White Water, White Bloom carries the same torch as Leaves In The River, but now that torch has been doused in gasoline. Escaping the sunny trappings of L.A.'s Silverlake community, Church headed north to Montreal to construct most of his latest album. It was a fine idea indeed - for this little vacation has seemed to awaken a beast that lay dormant on the debut. With an exquisite cello underneath, lead off track "Wicked Blood," starts things off on the perfect note.
White Water, White Bloom is available now on Dangerbird Records.
