New Music From Ghostface Killah

'Ghostdini Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City' receives positive reviews.

Ghostface’s new album, Ghostdini Wizard of Poetry in Emerald City, came out Tuesday and offers a new side to the Wu-Tang artist. The artist throws R&B into the mix (a lot of it) with the topics of love, love lost and banging - a pretty solid trifecta,. Throwing in guest artists like Kanye West and Neyo on “Back Like That,” as well as Estelle, John Legend, Raheem DeVaughn. A solid effort for Killah, and the critics agree - hip-hop fans should listen to this album.

So far Ghost’s albums nets a 4.5 star rating on iTunes, and many reviews scoring the Killah at 4/5, 8/10 or above. Just check out the koalition’s review or smoking section’s equally high-praising review. September is simply filled with must-listen hip-hop albums. It started with Raekwon’s Only Built 4 Cuban Linx. PT II, then to Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3, to Kid Cudi’s Man on the Moon: The End of Day and now capping the crazy month with Ghostface. If only every month were this musically golden in the hip-hop world and then capped with a great album like Wizard of Poetry.

The album boasts 14 tracks that mold together well - four singles, a couple music videos and bonus advice videos from Ghost (if you purchase on iTunes). Of the two music videos, the raunchy “Stapleton Sex” production has been left out of the mix of the deluxe download version. If you’re interested, watch here (NSFW) and see why this was left on the cutting room floor. All in all, Ghostface kills it; and I feel sorry for the following months. Have a taste of HEAVE’s favorite slow jam, “Paragraphs of Love” with UK favorite Estelle and John Legend’s brother Vaughn Anthony.
