New Music From Richard Hawley

Richard Hawley delivers 'For Your Lover, Give Some Time.'

Richard Hawley is a man who's intricately mapped the lonely roads of a broken heart.  His songs seem to have the ability to squeeze every last drop of woe from that dying organ, all the while maintaining a wildly clever and endearing sense of humor.  Hawley's voice, to use an old adage, is like butter.  As Leonard Cohen slowly approaches the pearly gates, Mr. Hawley could very well be the last of the drinking man's poet crooner.

His previous and most successful album, Lady's Bridge, was a playful mix of his laid back Sunday morning standards along with some Bacharach style big band sounds.  Truelove's Gutter stays quietly in the back round, but in no way is "background" music.  For an album to keep such a steady tone throughout, Truelove's Gutter is a consistently entrancing and beautiful listen.

Take a listen to first single, "For Your Lover, Give Some Time."
