New Weezer Incites Shock
...In the Good Way. We promise.
Given the recent years of Weezer's follies and forays into idiocy, I wasn't too excited when a new album was announced for release on October 27. However, over the weekend, the first single leaked. It's entitled "(If You're Wondering If I Want You To) I Want You To" and its "shred-factor" is directly proportional to the length of its title (that's the hipster way to say something is good). With the whole song clocking in at a frenetic 3:27 of distorted guitars, catchy and poppy riffs, and Rivers making a return to the embarrassed nerd-kitsche that made us swoon in years past, it's a delightful return to form for the group.
