Slug and Ant reward listeners with 'Leak At Will.'
Sean Daley (aka Se7en aka Slug and Ant) brought some more joy into the world during the 4th of July weekend - keeping to the tune of releasing free EPs on major holidays (the very well-done Strictly Leakage was released on Christmas ’07). Atmosphere paired this mixtape with the launch of their label’s new online store – a nice ode to America’s most patriotic day (besides Sonic’s big 18th birthday last month).
Leak At Will is a quick seven song, 19-minute thank you for all the fans and the support. As quoted from the group’s facebook, “The project is a 7 song EP called LEAK AT WILL, and it was a lot of fun to make. nothing too serious, just smiles and cries. consider it another "thank you" for all of the support you have offered us over the years. and again, thank you very much. have a good summer.” It’s straight from the horse’s mouth, people. And if they aren’t capitalizing then we aren’t capitalizing.
Surely you won’t have any trouble fitting this nugget onto any MP3 player you desire. If you were on top of your game you would have downloaded this and thrown it into a fireworks mega mixtape.
A very solid outing from Atmosphere, which has me wondering about when we will be receiving another Felt release. I especially enjoy “Feel Good Hit of the Summer Pt. 2.” Plenty of drug talk - with a simple motto that the only crux for Slug is coffee, cigarettes, marijuana, beer and sex. Oh wait, that’s five. Excellent.
Atmosphere is currently touring overseas, but will be making their way back to the states July 23rd for a Detroit show. Check the schedule here.
