Destroyer Set To Release 'Bay Of Pigs' on Vinyl
Destroyer back with a bang, taking an attempt at disco.
Destroyer sounds like a metal band, and this is intensified by a song title like "Bay Of Pigs," but fret not - Destroyer is actually the solo work of Dan Bejar, a man associated with such acts as The New Pornographers and Swan Lake (The Frog Eyes/Wolf Parade supergroup). While normally calm and collective, Bejar has decided to take Destroyer in a disco direction as he is set to release Bay of Pigs on August 18th on Merge Records. Bay of Pigs will feature over 20 minutes of new Destroyer material, including the 13 minute opus, "Bay Of Pigs." The b-side of Pigs will be, "Ravers" - a song recorded entirely on synthesizer.
Unfortunately (well, for some of you) this will be released exclusively on 12-inch vinyl - but you should probably own a record player, anyway.
