We've Got You Covered

Woodhands puts a spin on Katy Perry.

Remember when you hated yourself for thinking “I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry was incredibly catchy? The song swept the country (and probably brought high school sexual tension to an alarming high) and made Katy Perry into a star overnight.  And what huge hit nowadays doesn’t get covered?

Today’s cover of “I Kissed A Girl” comes from some of HEAVE’s favorite Canadians, Woodhands. Daniel Werb and Pa ul Banwatt take the girl anthem of cherry chap stick and introduce a electro-pop snarl that makes Werb sound pretty pissed off that it took him so long to lock lips with a lady. And it really shouldn’t have taken that long, Daniel – you play keytar.

If you missed it, you can read our interview with Woodhands here.
