Drew Danburry Never Stops Hustlin'

New music and videos from Utah's magic man.

Drew Danburry is one busy man. He’s starting a nation-wide tour with Ryland Bouchard of the Robots Ate Me and Emperor X this March, performing some supporting dates for Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin in April and somehow still finding time to make new music. How the hell can one man make so much music? I can only assume magic. One of his latest songs is a parody of “The Way I Are” by Timbaland entitled “The Way Drew Drew.” Danburry reworks Timbaland’s hip-hop single and changes it into and indie rock ballad for the ladies. Get ready for people to slow dance and cuddle to this version.

 

Danburry recorded his other new track “Artex Died in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico” with his friend Will Thomas and filmed their video for it all in one day. Pretty damn impressive considering the workload. “Artex” starts with a man and his horse and turns into a song about raising your cap guns into the air and firing away. It’s like a John Wayne film with melting snow everywhere and a fake white horse. Danburry and Thomas were already shooting a video for the Utah band Desert Noises for their single “New Man” and somehow the shoot led to Danburry’s song “Artex” and Desert Noises as his back-up band. Danburry and Thomas’s efforts on “New Man” are very different than that on “Artex.” It’s a beautifully done black and white video for Desert Noises’s new single off of their self-titled EP. Creativity comes everywhere kids.
