Kid Cudi Continues to Build Hype

New video for 'Day N Night' is an entertaining trip.

Kid Cudi’s new video for his anthem “Day N Night” debuted last week, and it’s nothing but entertaining. This was the second video made for “Day N Night,” as one had already been rejected. I’m sure many are familiar with the song - as it has been around for a while; but the video brings the track back for a refresher. The video flips back and forth from an animated world to real life, coinciding with Cudi’s tripping (on Miss Mary, of course). It is hard for me to pick a best part of the video, whether it’s when Cudi reaches for a deuce and ends up opening a passageway to baked goods, the fact that he is rapping in an arcade, or when he sips an animated milkshake at a bar. These crazy animations are provided by So Me, who has also collaborated with the likes of Yeezy and Justice on past projects.

The first time I heard this song was on Entourage, and that had me scouring the net for the track immediately following the episode. It wasn’t long until Kid Cudi started popping up everywhere - from mixtape tracks to Kanye’s album 808’s and Heartbreak. Kid Cudi released a mixtape entitled A Kid Named Cudi last year, and is set to release an album later this year entitled Man on the Moon that will hopefully prove to be a good listen. We’ll just have to wait for its release, but in the meantime you have a video to watch. Make sure to note the shot with Travis Barker, and the insane animated flat top on a white dude.

Check out the video for the stoner anthem here.
