Ward Rockets to the top of our Envy (Hit) List
While HeaveMedia's public enemy number 1 these days is definitely Ben Gibbard, M. Ward could be considered a close second. Not only is he at the top of every twenty-something librarian's wet dream, but he's got the chart-topping She & Him album (with Ben's fiancee, Zooey Deschanel) and is already set to release his newest solo record.
Hold Time is set to release on February 17th and was produced by Mike Mogis. It features guest appearances by the likes of Lucinda Williams, DeVotchka's Tom Hagerman, and a cover of Buddy Holly's "Rave On." Right now, you can stream the entire album, track by track, over at NPR.org.
Touring with 10's, releasing an amazing album less than a year after the She & Him phenomenon, and receiving praise from the NPR crowd. M. Ward, you've rocketed to the top of our Envy List.
